Skyhawks Sports Academy Sets Enrollment Record Only Halfway Through 2021
August 11, 2021 // Franchising.com // SPOKANE, Wash. - Skyhawks Sports Academy is in the midst of the busiest summer in its history. Pent-up demand from lost sports opportunities in 2020 combined with the continued expansion of franchise locations resulted in an all-time high of participation.
Only halfway through 2021’s summer programming, Skyhawks has welcomed more than 86,000 kids across the nation. Those enrollment figures have already eclipsed the previous record enrollment in 2019 by 30 percent and have more than doubled those of 2020.
“It has been incredible to see the excitement and energy families have shown to get back on the field in 2021,” said Skyhawks Sports Academy President and COO Jason Frazier. “We knew there would be as much interest as ever coming out of the pandemic limitations of the past year. Our local operators, area managers, and coaches have done a fantastic job of welcoming these kids back in the right way. We’re eager to continue this growth through the summer and into our fall season.”
With much of the year still ahead, the record enrollment is expected to continue in the coming seasons even as children return to school. There will be increased opportunities for athletes between the ages of 2 and 14 in roughly a dozen sports, as Skyhawks added a record 32 franchise locations around the nation in 2020 despite the effects of the pandemic.
