School Of Rock Hockessin Is Ready To Rock N’ Roll

The Hockessin grand opening event includes a guitar smashing, live music from instructors, food, free tours, giveaways and more!

August 26, 2021 // Franchising.com // Hockessin, DE. - School of Rock, a performance-based music education, announces the grand opening of School of Rock Hockessin in Hockessin, Delaware. The event will take place at 138 Lantana Drive, Hockessin, Delaware, 19707, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. EST,  on Saturday, August 28. Along with a ceremonial guitar smashing (School of Rock’s version of a ribbon-cutting), the event will offer live music by both an instructor and student band, free tours, giveaways, raffles and treats for kids.

School of Rock Hockessin is owned by Mike Pesce and Aaron Wygonik. Mike began playing drums in high school, but lacked the performance and student band opportunities to keep him motivated to play. After playing in a couple bands in college, he put down the drumsticks but continued to be an avid consumer of music and has encouraged his children to pursue music as well. Aaron grew up with a fervent appreciation for classic rock and is excited to support the School behind the scenes.

“The Hockessin community and those surrounding it have an extensive history of rich, family-oriented activities,” said Mike Pesce. “We are honored to add the patented School of Rock Method to the menu of enrichment programs for families to enjoy.”

School of Rock provides students of all ages an exciting and engaging music lesson experience, which includes bass lessons, guitar lessons, singing lessons, drum lessons and piano lessons. Drawing from all styles of rock and roll, School of Rock students learn theory and techniques via songs from legendary artists such as Aretha Franklin, Lenny Kravitz and Led Zeppelin. Thanks to the school’s performance-based approach, students around the world have gained superior musical proficiency, with some moving on to record deals and larger platforms such as American Idol, The Voice and Broadway.

“Mike and Aaron have a strong appreciation for music education, and are passionate about teaching students through rock n’ roll,” said Rob Price, CEO of School of Rock. “I’m confident they will be excellent leaders for the School of Rock location in Hockessin.”
