The Glass Guru Franchisees Recognized as Franchise Rock Stars by Franchise Business Review

August 26, 2021 // Franchising.com // Plano, TX - The Glass Guru’s Bellingham, WA franchise owners TJ and Su Randhawa were recently recognized by franchise research firm, Franchise Business Review, as being two of 2021’s Franchise Rock Stars. The couple was selected from nearly 25,000 franchisees, representing 224 brands that participated in Franchise Business Review’s research in the past 18 months.

The Franchise Rock Stars recognized were nominated by their franchise brand leadership in one of eight categories as franchisees who set admirable examples when it comes to leadership, business acumen, financial and professional success, and contributing to their community. Categories included: Giving Back, Women, Millennials, Veterans, Family-Owned, “Freshmen”, Top-Performers, and Multi-Unit Owners.

The Randhawa’s began their successful relationship with The Glass Guru brand back in 2018, purchasing an existing successful franchise location in Bellingham, WA. TJ immediately dove into the important role of Sales & Marketing as an Estimator and the new face of the business, while Su put her clerical and organizational skills to work as the Office Coordinator. TJ was able to acquire a quality residential glass installer right away because of his many relationships he had built over the years in his former life, working in the construction industry primarily as a custom home builder.

TJ continues to focus his efforts on quality relationships and maximizing sales opportunities in the field, while Su maintains an organized, efficient, and productive customer-first presence governing the entire sales cycle from initial phone call to completed invoice. The Glass Guru of Bellingham has steadily grown a successful business even during the trying and challenging times that COVID-19. This growth has allowed for increased market share, maximizing their performance as a strong unit that exemplifies that customer-first mindset.

As The Glass Guru moves toward Q4 of 2021, the brand’s Bellingham, WA location continues to be a high-performing franchise, regularly seen in the upper 10% of the monthly revenue rankings. Tj and Sue Ranhawa, continue to practice the things that have gotten them to their current state. The incredible service-oriented attitude, combined with franchisor support has proved to be critical for their success. “What I like the most about The Glass Guru organization is that our corporate team is very approachable,” says Su Randhawa.

With all the success the couple has seen, it’s not without challenges. “The biggest work-related challenge during the pandemic was to continue doing work with the responsibility of keeping our team safe. Also, getting new people has been a challenge.” Additionally, as a family-owned business, the couple is presented with another unique challenge… “As a husband and wife (team), it is a great opportunity to work towards a common goal together, as we can channelize our energies better. The main challenge that we encountered is that sometimes work flows to our dining table.” continues Su Randhawa.
