Unisex Waxing Franchise Sees 20-60% Sales Growth in Almost Half Their Studios

November 30, 2021 // Franchising.com // UKW Franchising Company, LLC, parent company to Uni K Wax Studio, a national franchise specializing in all-natural, unisex waxing services, has been seeing incredible sales growth among their locations in New York, New Jersey, and Florida.

While the COVID-19 pandemic certainly made an impact on studios’ sales, most locations have been able to bounce back and actually surpass their sales numbers from 2019. Multiple locations in New York have seen over a 40% increase in sales since 2019.

The Kissimmee and London Square studios in Florida have both seen consistent sales growth in the last two years. The Hoboken, NJ location is seeing the highest percent of growth across the brand at over 60% since 2019. Just under half of the brand’s studios are experiencing a 20% or higher increase in sales in comparison to 2019.

“The remarkable growth of our locations really showcases the strength of the Uni K Wax brand,” says Ozzie Grupenmager, Chief Operating Officer at UKW Franchising Company, LLC. “We never took for granted the fact that our studios were able to recover from temporary closures due to COVID-19. Noemi Grupenmager, Uni K Wax’s current CEO, opened the first waxing studio in 1993 in South Beach, Florida. The brand has since opened a number of locations in Florida, New York, and New Jersey - with a recent signing in Texas.

“If nothing else, the last two years have proven the stability of our business model,” says Grupenmager. “A number of our locations are seeing consistent growth, despite staffing issues due to COVID-19.
