CertaPro Painters® Sets New Record Raising Over $115k for Breast Cancer Research
North American painting franchise’s annual Paint it Pink campaign helped support 2,400 hours of research
December 16, 2021 // Franchising.com // AUDUBON, Pa. - CertaPro Painters® raised $119,890 for breast cancer research during the third annual Paint it Pink campaign, shattering its goal of $100k and setting a new record. The money raised will help fund 2,400 hours of life-saving research for breast cancer.
This year, CertaPro Painters® continued its partnership with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) and joined the Breast Cancer Society of Canada (BCSC) to raise funds and awareness about breast cancer. To achieve this, the 128 participating franchisees donated $10 from every painting project completed from Oct. 1 to Nov. 30 and participated in the Paint it Pink step challenge. Donations were also accepted online.
For the Paint it Pink step challenge, CertaPro Painters® franchisees, corporate team members, and members from sister companies came together and got active for 45 days. Overall, they finished the challenge with 32,522,095 steps, raising a total of $11,860 for the respective foundations.
“For the first time, breast cancer is the most common cancer worldwide with 1 in 8 women developing breast cancer in their lifetime,” says Bruce Schmidt, CertaPro Painters® Chief Brand Officer. “We are proud to support this important cause that aligns with our values of serving others, and makes a direct impact on breast cancer research, by holding the Paint it Pink campaign annually.”
BCRF is the highest-rated breast cancer organization in the U.S. and the largest private funder of breast cancer research - and metastatic breast cancer research - globally. BCSC is a Canadian non-profit charity that raises money to fund patient-focused research for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of breast cancer.
