Island Fin Poké Opens New Location in Its Home State of Florida

Local Entrepreneurs to Bring a Taste of Hawaii to Panama City Beach

May 03, 2022 // Franchising.com // PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. - Island Fin Poké is thrilled to announce the opening of its newest location in Panama City Beach. Located at 15500 Panama City Beach Pkwy., this restaurant will be owned by local entrepreneurs and husband-and-wife duo, Kurt and Eve Fadden. It will be the first Island Fin Poké restaurant they intend on opening in the area.

With the restaurant slated to open on May 16, Island Fin Poké of Panama City Beach will serve healthy and flavorful poké bowls (pronounced “poh-kay”). Poké is a popular Hawaiian dish consisting of proteins, nourishing toppings and served over lettuce or rice. Guests can choose from responsibly sourced ingredients and create their own customized poké bowl, with a selection of over eight proteins, 25 different toppings, nine gluten-free house-made sauces, and specialty mix-ins. The endless possibilities allow guests to get creative and try something new every visit. The Panama City Beach restaurant will offer third party delivery options and indoor seating, as well as potential outdoor patio seating that will be shared with the Fresh Market next door.

Kurt and Eve Fadden are the newest additions to Island Fin Poké’s Ohana, and their strong backgrounds in business and real estate development are the keys to their restaurant’s success. Having grown up in the Florida Panhandle, Eve knew that her hometown was in need of a healthy, fast-casual food option. She has spent the last eight years working in multiple roles for a dental service organization, with her most recent achievement being that she supports opening approximately 90 practices a year. With this experience under her belt and Kurt’s career in real estate and multi-unit management and operations, the Faddens were looking to apply their skills to the next step in their entrepreneurship journey: franchising. After working with a franchise broker for two years, Kurt finally received information about Island Fin Poké and the couple was instantly attracted to the healthful concept. The Faddens were familiar with the fact that quick-service healthy restaurants are on the rise, but the brand’s company culture, rooted in the Hawaiian family value of Ohana, led them to invest in Island Fin Poké’s franchise opportunity.

“Maintaining good health is very important to me and I know that there are plenty of people in Panama City Beach who have the same priorities and would love to enjoy a new, healthy food option,” said Fadden. “I can’t wait to open our doors! I know the community will fall in love with our delicious poké bowls and outstanding customer service as quickly as I did.”
