New Frios Gourmet Pops Sweet Ride Rolls Into South Arlington to Serve Up Smiles and Sticky Fingers

Mobile Frozen Dessert Brand Opens in Tarrant County to offer Community Members Moments to Enjoy the Happiness and Magic in Every Day

July 07, 2022 // Franchising.com // ARLINGTON, Texas - Frios Gourmet Pops has announced that its newest Frios Sweet Ride is launching in South Arlington. Sharing the vibe of its colorful tie-dye van, tasty gourmet frozen treats and a reminder to slow down and remember the carefree days of childhood, Frios will soon bring its one-of-a-kind dessert experience to South Arlington through local resident and entrepreneurs, Funmi and Olu Oredope.

“I am beyond thrilled to be rolling out a new Frios Sweet Ride in South Arlington and show local residents why our motto stands true – ‘the best things in life are Frios,’” said Funmi, owner of Frios South Arlington. “My very first bite of a Frios solidified my desire to be a part of the brand as a franchise owner. The simple act of enjoying a Frios pop truly has the power to take you back in time and remember what it felt like to be a kid. I can’t wait for the South Arlington community to try one for themselves and to share that magic with them.”

The Oredope’s are new parents and wanted to be able to prioritize family time while working. The Frios business opportunity has allowed them to do just that, giving them the perfect work-life balance. Prior to opening a Frios Sweet Ride, Funmi worked as a tax accountant, giving her great historical experience to work on the financials of this new business, while Olu has a business degree. The duo plan to begin serving the South Arlington area as many of their fellow Nigerian-American community members are located there, and they want to stay connected to their friends and neighbors through the love of pops.

With its mission to sell happiness on a stick, Frios’ commitment to giving back to local communities stands at the forefront of the band’s values. Each Frios owner, also known as a Happiness Hustler, pledges to donate and contribute to a local charitable partner upon rolling out a new Sweet Ride. In addition to the company’s already established, nationwide philanthropy partnerships, the Oredope’s will also carry the tradition to lead goodwill initiatives in the South Arlington community.

“At our core, Frios is a brand rooted in compassion, community, and altruism,” said Patti Rother, President of Frios Gourmet Pops. “We deliver happiness to guests in the form of delicious, hand-poured frozen desserts, but it goes beyond that – we are passionate, driven, we deeply care about our communities, and we have a group of incredible Happiness Hustlers who dedicate themselves to giving back to neighbors in need. Funmi and Olu are the perfect people to carry out that mission in Arlington.”

Driven by the mission to slow the heck down and feel the magic in every day, Frios Gourmet Pops offers tasty frozen desserts of all types, including creamy and fruity flavors, and pops for those looking for low sugar, dairy free, wheat free, soy free, nut free and dye free options.

Frios elicits magical moments of pause, nostalgia, and reminders of what brings people happiness. The dessert on a stick harnesses the ability to spark an instance where individuals can stop and relish in their moment of joy, no matter the environment. Offered in a wide variety of flavors, Frios are made with quality ingredients and real fruit, empowering customers of all tastes to enjoy a Frios and reminisce in the carefree days of childhood.
