Great Clips® Rolls Out New Waitlist Feature For App

September 29, 2022 // // MINNEAPOLIS - Great Clips® has introduced a new in-app waitlist and other enhancements to its app to better guide customers through their haircut experience. These features become available to customers as the Great Clips app reaches a milestone in number of total downloads.

Great Clips customers can already use Online Check-In on the Great Clips app or website to secure their spot in line before arriving at their local salon. Now, with visibility to the salon waitlist, once a customer checks into a salon via the app, they can see their place in line in real-time. In addition, a progress bar shows customers their movement along the steps to receiving a great haircut. This gives customers more transparency into where they are in line and more flexibility to spend their waiting time as they’d like before heading to the salon.

A focus on constant innovation has helped the Great Clips app surpass 20 million total downloads.

The in-app waitlist and progress bar are the latest in a series of updates and enhancements to the Great Clips app designed to help users save time while making checking in for a haircut easier than ever. Earlier this year, Great Clips relaunched its app with a fresh new look that also included a faster Online Check-In experience and the continued ability to save a favorite Great Clips salon. In 2020, Great Clips launched ReadyNext® text alerts, which notify customers once their estimated wait time reaches 15 minutes to head to the salon for their service.
