Tropical Smoothie Cafe® Raises More Than $670K to Fight Childhood Hunger with No Kid Hungry

Donation can help provide 6.7 million meals for kids*

November 09, 2022 // Franchising.com // Tropical Smoothie Cafe raised more than $670K to help fight childhood hunger this back-to-school season. The national fundraising effort marks the first activation between the better-for-you smoothie brand and No Kid Hungry, a national campaign run by Share Our Strength, which aims to help give all kids access to three healthy meals a day.

From Aug. 31 to Oct. 4, Tropical Smoothie Cafe donated $1 from every Sunshine Smoothie® purchased to No Kid Hungry, and many guests took advantage of the opportunity to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar, with the difference also going to No Kid Hungry. 

Today, nearly 1 in 8 children are at risk of hunger in America. No Kid Hungry helps ensure that those children have reliable access to the food they need by supporting school meal programs and providing grants to community feeding organizations and advocacy work. Guided by their mission to Inspire Better®, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, alongside No Kid Hungry, will continue to help nourish kids in need across the country.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe hopes this year’s donation will serve as a benchmark to exceed in future No Kid Hungry fundraising efforts.
