Big Chicken Throws Birthday Bash to Celebrate the BIG Difference Shaquille O’Neal Makes Coast to Coast

Birthday Promotion and Giveback Campaign Recognizes O’Neal’s Accomplishments and Generosity through The Shaquille O’Neal Foundation

On O’Neal’s birthday, Monday, March 6, Big Chicken is giving all guests who stop by any one of the brand’s locations a FREE ice cream cone, while supplies last.* As part of the festivities, guests will also have a chance to round up their change in support of The Shaquille O’Neal Foundation.;

“Shaquille’s legendary career and commitment to making a positive impact deserves to be honored in a BIG way,” said Big Chicken CEO Josh Halpern. “We hope our loyal and new guests will join us in the celebration. To honor Shaquille, we are raising money for his foundation, which is an incredible cause.”

Tipping off now and continuing through all of April, Big Chicken is launching a menu promotion that includes a meaningful giveback initiative in support of The Shaquille O’Neal Foundation. Creating pathways for underserved youth to help them achieve their full potential, the Foundation works in cooperation with the Boys & Girls Clubs and Communities in Schools. As part of Big Chicken’s birthday festivities for O’Neal, the fast casual chicken concept will donate a portion of the proceeds from three of the founder’s most significant menu items during the promotional timeframe.

Each of the three menu items featured in the giveback campaign, Lucille’s Mac N’ Cheese, the Diesel Shake and the Popcorn Chicken, pays homage to key aspects of O’Neal’s personal and professional lives. Representing his close connection to his mother (Lucille’s Mac N’ Cheese), jammin’ DJ career (Diesel Shake) and success in the entertainment industry (Popcorn Chicken) respectively, the menu items form a combo meal and, when purchased from any location, a portion of the proceeds will be collected and donated to the Foundation.
