Franchisee Spotlight: Clinton Lewis

Meet Clinton Lewis – a First-generation Franchise Owner With Kedis Enterprises. Having Started His Journey at the Age of 16 as a Cook at KFC in Spanish Harlem, Lewis Now Owns Three KFC Stores in the City of Baltimore.

March 23, 2023 // Franchising.com // Showcasing his dedication and hardworking passion instilled in him throughout his childhood, Lewis was quickly promoted throughout the years from a cook to Restaurant General Manager, and Area Manager. As an Area Manager, he was influential in the franchise organization’s expansion from 12 to 20 operational restaurants throughout New York City. As a result of these successes, his leadership and efforts with the KFC team granted him the 2011 Regional Franchise Operational Award and Area Coach of the Year.

Within the past 12 years, Lewis has been Director of Operations for KEDIS Enterprises, a 32-unit multi-brand franchise organization with over 600 employees, generating more than $50 million in annual sales. Through his expertise, he continues to reduce operational costs, increase profit margin, and consistently ensures stores maintain more than 98% passing on brand standards evaluations within KEDIS Enterprises. As a reward for being a symbol of what believing in and taking care of your people can achieve, Lewis broke barriers, becoming the only non-franchisee nominated for the 2012 & 2022 P.E.T.E. Award (People Encouraging Talent and Excellence).

Being a board member of the KFC Foundation, Lewis enforces the foundation’s core values, beliefs, and programs to guide individuals, and team members, and how to better their lives. Additionally, as a member of the National Council & Advertising Cooperative (NCAC) Operations Subcommittee, Clinton continues to successfully direct, influence, and impact the KFC brand and its employees toward their goals.
