New Spherion Office Opens in Roseville to Support Local Businesses and Job Seekers

Experienced Entrepreneur Opens Recruiting and Staffing Office to Meet Local Labor Demand

April 05, 2023 // Franchising.com // MINNEAPOLIS – Spherion Staffing and Recruiting (Spherion) announced today it opened a new office in Roseville, Minn. to serve hiring needs in Twin Cities North. Mai Vang, skilled recruiter and determined entrepreneur, opened the new location on April 3.

“The opportunity to own a business where I can leverage my human resources background and connect with more people in my community is truly a dream come true,” said Vang, franchise owner of Spherion Twin Cities North. “As an immigrant myself, I want to bridge the gap between the Minneapolis immigrant community and quality employment opportunities. Many immigrants are underemployed due to lack of professional connections, so this business will bring value to the immigrant communities here and help more people get to work.

Vang started her career working as a recruiting specialist for a local staffing agency while studying at the University of Minnesota. She eventually worked her way up to serve as an onsite manager for a large industrial client. Following graduation, she served as a human resources (HR) generalist, HR consultant and director of operations for 12 years with a local home care agency. During that time, Vang also became a licensed real estate agent and investor, and has had success selling and flipping houses while developing local rental properties. Through her work as a realtor in Minneapolis with immigrant communities, she discovered that many immigrants are underemployed and struggle to find sustainable employment. Vang’s entrepreneurial spirit and love for the staffing industry propelled her to open a new Spherion office in Roseville, and she looks forward to serving local jobseekers and businesses alike.
