Mediterranean café to celebrate grand opening with $5 gyro meals on June 29

June 23, 2023 // Franchising.com // METAIRIE, La. – Taziki’s Mediterranean Café is ready and excited to serve up its fresh, modern Mediterranean fare at its very first New Orleans-area location.

To celebrate its grand opening, Taziki’s will host a ribbon-cutting on Thursday, June 29, at 10:30 a.m. and celebrate by offering $5 gyro meals all day to dine-in guests. Taziki’s is located at 701 Metairie Rd., Suite 1A-103 in the Old Metairie Village Shopping Center. Representatives from the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce and Taziki’s corporate headquarters will be on-site to commemorate the brand’s second Louisiana location.

“We are so excited to bring Taziki’s Mediterranean food to a community as vibrant and eclectic as New Orleans,” said local owners Cecile Tanguis and Joe Reiss. “We appreciate the excitement and support this community has already shown and look forward to serving you in person. Our fresh, scratch-made dishes combined with our passion for connecting and serving our community make Taziki’s a great fit for Metairie.”

In honor of the restaurant opening, Taziki’s hosted a Friends and Family event and donated $1,000 to local charity partner, ARNO, who will also have representatives at the grand opening.

Metairie’s first Taziki’s features a digital menu screen, quick and easy take-out shelves, patio seating, and of course, fresh food made-to-order and bursting with bright Mediterranean flavors.

Taziki’s in Metairie operates Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The $5 gyro meal is available only on June 29. Limit one $5 gyro meal per guest. Offer valid for dine-in at the Metairie location only while supplies last. No substitutions.
