The Dog Stop Celebrates 100th and 101st Locations

June 30, 2023 // Franchising.com // PITTSBURGH, Pa.  – The Dog Stop has surpassed an incredible milestone, announcing the awarding of their 100th and 101st locations.

The 100th location was awarded to Lynn Daley and will be opening in Orange County. Daley was impressed by The Dog Stop’s thorough business model.

“Dogs are a passion of mine,” said Daley. “Finding a brand that was both focused on the enrichment of pets lives as well as committed to transparency & cleanliness in all of their stores, was a rare find and I knew I wanted to partner with The Dog Stop to create a fun, caring and safe environment for all 4-legged family members in the O.C.”

The brand is also proud to announce its 101st location to be opened by franchisee, Shawn Nunez, who was recruited by The Dog Stop’s Area Developer for the Louisiana and Arkansas markets, Trey Boone, also a multiunit The Dog Stop franchisee. Shawn’s location will be located in in Lake Charles, Louisiana.  He knew that a brand like The Dog Stop could help to fill the gap in the dog care industry in his area and he’s eager to be providing a quality and reliable full-service dog brand to his community.

“The Dog Stop far surpassed everything I was looking for in a brand to partner with,” said Nunez. “I love dogs and have a husky named Zeus of my own. When the area I live in was hit by a major hurricane, I needed to find a safe and trustworthy place for my dog to stay while I got things organized and found The Dog Stop. They blew me away with their dedication to providing a quality and reliable space to bring your pup for whatever they may need and the true care and attention they provided my dog when we both needed it most. I never looked back and knew that my community could benefit from a store like this and was determined to bring it to them.”

CEO and Co-Founder of The Dog Stop, Jesse Coslov, expressed his excitement for the partnerships, “we’re thrilled to be welcoming both Lynn and Shawn to The Dog Stop family and know that they are the perfect fits to help us continue towards our mission of providing cities throughout the nation with a superior dog care experience. We as a brand are so proud of the huge milestone that hitting our 100th and 101st stores is for us.”

Owned and operated by dog people since 2009, The Dog Stop understands the complex process involved in dog care and knows that there is no such thing as a one size fits all approach. At The Dog Stop, expert staff at each location stay up-to-date on the ever-changing science that applies to dog care, behavior, grooming, and nutrition. Its one-stop-shop offers pet care products and supplies, with each item on its shelves the latest and greatest in its respective category, ensuring that every dog who stops by receives the very best treatment.
