Franchisee Boosts TWO MEN AND A TRUCK’s Reach in South Carolina

November 28, 2023 // Franchising.com // LANSING, Mich. - TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is proud to announce that veteran franchisee Mike Thompson is expanding his Augusta, Georgia, franchise to include the area near the Savannah River, from Aiken County to Beaufort County in South Carolina.

Since starting as a mover and driver in Columbia, South Carolina, in 1997, Thompson has been a testament to the growth and opportunities within TWO MEN AND A TRUCK. In March 2001, he launched the Augusta franchise from the ground up, building a strong presence and a trusted moving brand in the central Savannah River area.

His new expansion will see the opening of an office in Aiken, S.C., in January 2024, with plans to extend services to Beaufort County over the next two years.

"We've been part of the Augusta community for over two decades, and we're excited to solidify our commitment to excellent service to the residents of Aiken County and surrounding areas," said Thompson. "Our expansion is a natural progression of our business and a reflection of the trust and support we've received from our customers over the years."

The expansion is set to create new job opportunities. Thompson has 27 employees as part of his current team at the Augusta office, and he plans to add at least a dozen new team members in Aiken during the first year.
