Dill Dinkers™ Expands with 10-Unit Regional Development Deal for Western Maryland and Southern Pennsylvania

January 04, 2024 // Franchising.com // COLUMBIA, MD - Dill Dinkers Pickleball announced today its seventh regional developer. The Corsiatto’s are a family that has committed to the development of 10 locations throughout Western Maryland and Southern Pennsylvania including the counties of Frederick, Washington, Carroll, Montgomery, Adams, Franklin, and York.

The team behind this expansion will be led by Kaylin Corsiatto, with support from her husband Alex McKenna, and her parents Jeff and Linda Corsiatto. As an entrepreneurial family, who has an extensive background in the mortgage industry, investment properties, and expertise in the hospitality franchise space, the family saw an opportunity to bring pickleball players quality indoor courts with an exceptional membership model. This model is mobile-enabled to allow people of all skill levels to enjoy more access to playing time as well as fun and safe camaraderie.

“The Corsiatto’s are exactly the type of developers we are looking for”, says Dr. Ben Litalien, Chief Development Officer, “They truly believe in the benefits an indoor pickleball court can offer the community to promote mental wellness and an active lifestyle year-round. We are excited to support them as they build something special for the Western Maryland and Southern Pennsylvania region and their family.”

As seasoned entrepreneurs, in conjunction with Linda’s knowledge as a retired special education teacher, the family noticed how pickleball had exploded across the country and how the sport was transforming people's lives through interaction and common ground. Dill Dinkers left a lasting impression on the family during their visit to the Dill Dinkers flagship location in Columbia, Maryland. After being introduced to Dill Dinkers and its founders, Will and Denise Richards, they valued how the brand was taking the sport further with an indoor offering focused on an inclusive community where people of all ages and skill levels have a place to gather, enjoy fun camaraderie, and build relationships year-round.

"As a family, we see this franchise as more than just an investment; it's an opportunity to contribute to a community, build connections, and spread the sheer joy of the game," shared Kaylin. “Dill Dinkers isn't merely about pickleball; it's about creating an inclusive space where players, regardless of skill level, can come together and forge lasting connections. We're genuinely thrilled to embark on this adventure and introduce the exciting world of pickleball to our community in Western Maryland and Southern Pennsylvania.”

"We started Dill Dinkers because of our unwavering passion for the sport and the community it has provided us,” said Co-Founder and CEO Will Richards. “We are thrilled to welcome passionate and reputable operators like the Corsiatto’s who are just as dedicated to spreading the joy of pickleball. We look forward to seeing how the team extends our name in their community and how other entrepreneurs can benefit from a premier indoor pickleball offering and a strong network of support.”
