SYNERGY HomeCare Announces Newest Franchise on the North Carolina Coast

January 19, 2024 // Franchising.com // Tempe, Ariz. - SYNERGY HomeCare has announced its newest North Carolina-based location, SYNERGY HomeCare of Cape Fear.

The company is owned and operated by Adam Slack, Mike Rokoski, and TJ Dunn, who share a genuine passion for helping people and enhancing their quality of life.

Headquartered at 6336 Oleander Dr. Ste 4. in Wilmington, N.C., the company assists residents with a wide variety of non-medical care options, from companion care to personal care and respite care.

Slack, Rokoski, and Dunn saw the growing need in their community for these services, particularly among Baby Boomers. U.S. Census statistics show that 10,000 Baby Boomers are turning 65 every day and that by 2030, there will be more than 70 million people over the age of 65. According to the AARP, over 75% of this demographic reports they want to remain in their own home for as long as possible.

Slack, Rokoski, and Dunn all recognize the value of being at home during times of need and are intent on making homecare a viable choice for those who need assistance.

Rokoski has a strong background in the service industry: he worked in restaurants from 1986 through 2006 and then started in the mortgage business, which evolved into real estate sales and development. Slack started his career in the real estate industry before turning to home care. Dunn has extensive experience in business development and oversees the company’s operations.

“At SYNERGY HomeCare, we believe home is where your heart is and where your comfort zone lies,” says Slack. “When you receive care at home, you're surrounded by the familiarity of your personal space, cherished belongings, and the warmth of your own bed. This comfort can significantly enhance your overall well-being and recovery.”

According to Slack, Rokoski and Dunn, the majority of their clients lack a local support system and need to rely on caregivers for assistance cooking, shopping, running errands, doing light housekeeping or going for walks. Some even require personal care such as help with bathing, dressing or using the toilet.

“Our mission is to serve our community as if they were family, and we believe that this journey begins by nurturing and empowering our caregivers,” says Rokoski.

“At our core, we consider our employees and caregivers as invaluable teammates, and our commitment is to cultivate an environment that enriches both their professional and personal lives while enhancing the quality of life of our clients and their families with personalized care plans,” says Dunn.
