Schmackary’s Coming to San Diego

March 07, 2024 // Franchising.com // SAN DIEGO, CA - Schmackary’s, has just completed a multi-unit franchise agreement with Sharian Lott, bringing the brand to the West Coast.

“I wanted to be a part of something that makes people happy. When I went to Schmackary’s, it reminded me of a neighborhood bakery in the small town where my mom grew up. It was an experience like no other” said Sharian Lott, San Diego Schmackary’s Franchisee. “I’m excited for all the possibilities that Schmackary’s brings to San Diego.”

Lott and her family have a deep history both in San Diego and the Broadway community. Daughter of Dorothy Smith, the first Black woman elected to office in San Diego and purveyor of the longest running Black theater in the country, Lott has spent her lifetime embedded within San Diego’s community. She is also the mother of Broadway star, Loren Lott.

Sharian Lott is stepping into the spotlight herself with this latest venture with Schmackary’s, “You know, I’ve supported my mom for so long. I’m proudly known as Dorothy’s daughter, or Loren’s mother. Now, it’s my time to venture out on my own merits and serve my community. I want to create a place that brings happiness to all who enter.”
