Ready to Rock: School of Rock Greensboro Amplifies North Carolina Music Scene With New Location Opening

March 20, 2024 // Franchising.com // GREENSBORO, NC - School of Rock will be celebrating the opening of its school in Greensboro, North Carolina with an event taking place at 1570-1A Highwoods Blvd. on Saturday, March 23 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will feature a live performance from students at School of Rock Chapel Hill along with raffle drawings, refreshments, location tours and sign-up discounts for prospective students.

School of Rock Greensboro is owned by Gary Biello and Greg Stampfl, both of whom have a deep passion for playing instruments and creating music. The owners saw a need for a School of Rock in the Greensboro triad-area to share the experience with as many music-lovers and potential new students as possible. Greensboro is a growing music city, and the new School of Rock will provide an exciting and enriching music education opportunity for the community at large.

“School of Rock is not just any music school. At our location we hope to build a community and create a safe environment for our students to grow and learn,” said Biello. “We want our students to feel like School of Rock is where they belong. Ultimately it's not just about learning music, but building confidence and lifelong skills that extend beyond the classroom.”

School of Rock provides students of all ages an exciting and engaging music lesson experience, which includes bass lessons, guitar lessons, singing lessons, drum lessons and piano lessons. Drawing from all styles of rock and roll, School of Rock students learn theory and techniques via songs from legendary artists such as Aretha Franklin, Lenny Kravitz and Led Zeppelin. Thanks to the school’s performance-based approach, students around the world have gained superior musical proficiency, with some moving on to record deals and larger platforms such as American Idol, The Voice and Broadway.

“Gary and Greg have profound knowledge and experience in music that fuels their strong appreciation for education and their local community. They are passionate about teaching students rock ‘n’ roll and have the dedication and drive to enrich lives and equip students with the necessary skills to excel in their craft,” said Stacey Ryan, COO of School of Rock. “I’m confident they will be excellent leaders for the new School of Rock location in Greensboro.”
