CARSTAR Scores Hat Trick With Three Great Hockey Events Across Ontario

April 09, 2024 // Franchising.com // HAMILTON, ON - CARSTAR Canada hit the ice this spring to support favourite hockey teams and host fun, family events for CARSTAR franchise partners, their teams and industry partners across Ontario. And, CARSTAR Canada raised nearly $4,000 for cystic fibrosis research, care and advocacy in the process.

“We are as passionate about hockey as we are about delivering the highest-quality vehicle repairs and excellent customer service,” said David Foster, SVP of operations and development, CARSTAR. “This was the perfect hat trick – we scored big with three events across Ontario with our amazing network. Not only did we build awareness for the CARSTAR brand with hockey fans, we were able to support our philanthropic partner, the Cystic Fibrosis Canada.”

London Knights Hop into the Holiday

The growing London, ON, region was out in full force on Easter Sunday, March 31, for an incredible London Knights Easter-themed playoff game. It was an afternoon game fit for the whole family as CARSTAR hosted CARSTAR store team members across CARSTAR London East, CARSTAR London West, CARSTAR Tillsonburgand CARSTAR Lucan.

To make the event even more special, the Easter Bunny made an appearance at the game, sporting the CARSTAR brand in pride as he hyped up the fans and handed out CARSTAR mini-sticks to the excited crowd. The event was a tremendous success for the CARSTAR brand.

To top up this special family day, the CARSTAR franchise family had an opportunity to go behind the scenes to cheer on the Knights before they hit the ice and got London Knights pucks autographed by some players. Rounding up the game, the London Knights presented CARSTAR a team picture signed by all players.

Oshawa Generals Extravaganza

In Oshawa, ON, CARSTAR Oshawa King, CARSTAR Cobourg, CARSTAR Danforth and CARSTAR Lindsaytook the lead at the March 24th CARSTAR night. The CARSTAR brand was in full force as the team tossed 60 t-shirts to the crowds and gave away mini-sticks. They also had a hiring table in the concourse to promote collision repair industry jobs. To add to the excitement, the CARSTAR Fraser Group, owners of CARSTAR Oshawa King and CARSTAR Cobourg, did the puck drop hand-in-hand with eight-year-old Avery, who is living with cystic fibrosis.

The night was a roaring success, but also including a phenomenal pass the bucket initiative where attendees donated any spare change or cash to Cystic Fibrosis Canada in honour of CARSTAR’s partnership, raising nearly $4,000 for the cause, thanks to the generous support of the Oshawa community.

Sault Ste. Marie Winning Spree

The Sault Ste. Marie, ON, Soo Greyhounds aren’t only high-ranking in the OHL rankings but also a top contender in CARSTAR pride. On March 22nd, CARSTAR Sault Ste. Mariehosted CARSTAR night in their game against Flint. CARSTAR Sault Ste. Marie is a mega-watt location and holding a longstanding CARSTAR legacy that has a superstar team.

The incredible energy from the CARSTAR Sault Ste. Marie franchise team powered the outstanding evening, where not only did the Soo Greyhounds win, but CARSTAR did as well. The team helped amplify job opportunities in the region, handed out cell phone holders for fans’ vehicles, raffled off mini-sticks to lucky fans and had hilarious intermission activities like bubble soccer. The suite was filled with the rocking CARSTAR Sault Ste. Marie team, and they cheered on Ralph and Steve at the end of the game as they awarded the star players with special CARSTAR gifts.
