Tri-Cities Welcomes Its First SYNERGY HomeCare Location

April 17, 2024 // Franchising.com // Tempe, Ariz. - SYNERGY HomeCare has announced its newest franchise in central Washington, SYNERGY HomeCare of Tri-Cities.

The company is led by husband-and-wife team Patrick and Marie Johansing who share a desire to serve their community in any way they can.

Headquartered at 30 S. Louisiana St., Suite 211, in Kennewick, the Tri-Cities area, the company assists residents living in Benton and Franklin counties with a wide variety of non-medical care options, from companion care to personal care and respite care.

Patrick and Marie recognized the growing need in their communities for these services, particularly among Baby Boomers.

Patrick has always wanted to help others and serve the community. Patrick started his career as a civil engineer. He then went on to earn an MBA from CalPoly and started working as a Naval Architect for the Department of Defense. After realizing he was missing the sense of service he desired, Patrick attended medical school and became a family physician. He developed a particular interest in home care when both his paternal and maternal grandmothers developed Alzheimer's disease. With the help of non-medical in-home care, one of his grandmothers was able to remain at home while the other was placed in a memory care facility. At that point, Patrick realized the importance of non-medical home care more than ever before.

Marie earned a degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in vocal performance. She worked as a test engineer for the Department of Defense working on Aircraft Carriers, testing all the equipment in the main engine compartments. She then decided to stay home and raise her and Patrick’s three children. While doing so, she has become closely tied with her community by volunteering at their church and local elementary school.

“Our guiding value is compassionate care,” said Marie. “Our business aims to create an environment that enriches the lives of our caregivers, our clients and their families.”

“Finding the right care for a loved one can be a very difficult and personal decision,” said Patrick “At SYNERGY HomeCare of Tri-Cities, we are committed to helping families receive the personalized and compassionate care they need.”

Over the next decade, the number of people aged 65 and older will double. Many of these people population will rely on caregivers with cooking, shopping, running errands, doing light housekeeping or going for walks. Some may even require personal care, such as help with bathing, dressing, or using the toilet.

SYNERGY HomeCare offers competitive hourly rates in addition to flexible shifts perfect for both college students or recent graduates as well as people who are retired and looking to stay active.
