American Chem-Dry Under New Ownership

May 14, 2024 // // MASSACHUSETTS - Chem-Dry recently underwent a transfer in ownership of one of its Massachusetts locations: American Chem-Dry in Wrentham. The carpet cleaning service is backed by BELFOR Franchise Group.

The location is now owned and operated by Patricia Maher. Patricia is a cancer survivor and has been a business owner for almost a decade, with American Chem-Dry being her second franchise. Patricia oversees administrative tasks within the office and is assisted in day to day operations by her husband, who cleans carpets and upholstery on a part-time basis. In her free time, Patricia enjoys walking her dogs and traveling locally.

“As someone who is familiar with the day-to-day operations and countless responsibilities of owning and operating a business, I felt that now was the perfect time to assume ownership of another reputable franchise,” said Patricia Maher, owner of American Chem-Dry. “So, when I heard the former owner of American Chem-Dry was interested in selling their established location, it felt like the perfect business opportunity. As I continue to establish my business as a trusted carpet cleaning partner across the South and West Suburban Boston areas, I look forward to helping home and property owners with all their cleaning needs using the franchise’s innovative cleaning process.”

Chem-Dry harnesses the natural cleaning power of carbonation to deeply clean carpets without soapy detergents. This proprietary process, known as Hot Carbonating Extraction (HCE), uses about 80% less water than traditional steam cleaning. This unique approach to carpet cleaning results in faster drying times.

Ed Quinlan, President of Chem-Dry, is committed to upholding the company’s unique standing within the carpet cleaning industry: “The entire Chem-Dry team can’t wait to see all the great work Patricia will accomplish within her community.”

Chem-Dry uses an innovative process known as Hot Carbonating Extraction (HCE) to deeply clean carpets using a fraction of the water required for steam cleaning. What began decades ago as a simple process for removing spills eventually created the foundation for the company’s HCE process and changed the industry forever as an alternative to traditional steam cleaning.

Chem-Dry has the added advantage of being backed by BELFOR Franchise Group.
