SYNERGY HomeCare Opens Newest Location in Miami-Dade County
May 16, 2024 // Franchising.com // Tempe, Ariz. - SYNERGY HomeCare has announced its newest franchise in Miami-Dade County, SYNERGY HomeCare of Aventura.
The company is led by Rick Lopez, a master’s graduate in public health and a former first responder with over ten years of experience in local health care
Headquartered at 2875 NE 191st St. OFC 540 in Aventura, Fla., the company assists residents living in Aventura, Eastern Shores, Golden Shores, Sunny Isles Beach and North Miami Beach with a wide variety of non-medical care options, from companion care to personal care and respite care.
Lopez recognized a growing need in nearby communities for these services, particularly among Baby Boomers.
After receiving a bachelor’s degree in Health Science and a master’s degree in Public Health, Lopez went on to spend the next ten years working in southeast Florida’s occupational health and safety management industries. On the side, he also worked as an EMT in Tampa, learning how to provide care in the most extreme environments.
Lopez was raised in a household that lived by the golden rule - treat others how you want to be treated. The biggest supporter of this philosophy in his early life was his grandmother, who managed a foster care program that looked over more than 100 children. Lopez observed the change that his grandmother was able to make in each child’s life and knew that when he got older, he wanted to make a similar impact within his community.
“I believe that if you can make someone else’s life better, then it’s your responsibility to do so,” said Lopez. “I come from a family that prioritized helping others over all else. This mindset guided me through my education, my career, and now, my new life in business ownership. Every client who walks through our doors can feel confident that they’ll receive the full red carpet treatment.”
Aventura is an attractive retiree community surrounded by multiple hospitals and medical facilities. Many of these residents need to rely on caregivers for additional assistance cooking, shopping, running errands, doing light housekeeping, or going for walks. Some even require personal care, such as help with bathing, dressing or using the toilet.
“Distance should not keep adult children from being in tune with their aging loved ones to help them maintain their quality of life while aging in place, something that can be accomplished through local in-home care,” Lopez explained. “I’ve seen cases ranging from the most mild to the most extreme, and I promise to deliver every loved one with the care plan that fits perfectly to their circumstances.”
