SYNERGY HomeCare Expands in California

August 14, 2024 // Franchising.com // Tempe, Ariz. - SYNERGY® HomeCare has announced its newest franchise located in the Los Angeles metro area, SYNERGY HomeCare of Duarte.

The company is led by Caroline and Emmanuel Ogunji, two professionals with extensive backgrounds in healthcare and finance and a passion for helping those in need of care.

Headquartered at 1851 Huntington Drive, Suite 89-69 in Duarte, the company assists residents living throughout Arcadia, Monrovia, Duarte, Irwindale and Baldwin Park with a wide variety of non-medical in-home care options, from companion care to personal care and respite care.

The Ogunjis saw a growing need for these services, particularly among Baby Boomers.

Caroline holds a bachelor's and master's degree in Healthcare Administration and brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding of healthcare management. Emmanuel, with his dual master's degrees in Finance and Accounting and a PhD in Economics, offers his expertise in business operations and financial strategy. Together, their combined skills promise to make a significant impact, ensuring a seamless transition into the industry and elevating the standard of home care services in their community.

Drawing from her experience in the hospital setting, Caroline witnessed firsthand the struggles of discharged patients and their families dealing with the absence of reliable home care. She was overwhelmed with questions about home care services, highlighting a critical need within her community. Driven by their profound passion for helping those unable to care for themselves due to illness, aging or lack of family support, Caroline and Emmanuel decided to step up and fill the gap, providing reliable care to those in their area.

“At SYNERGY HomeCare of Duarte, we are committed to providing compassionate, top-tier care for our clients in their homes,” says Caroline. “We also want to create a comfortable and lucrative work environment for our employees.”

Los Angeles County is home to many hospitals, medical centers and a growing aging population. Many members of this population need to rely on caregivers for additional assistance cooking, shopping, running errands, doing light housekeeping, or going for walks. Some even require personal care, such as help with bathing, dressing or using the toilet.

“As a significant portion of Los Angeles County continues to age, the need for home care services will undoubtedly increase,” said Emmanuel. “We want to be a trusted and reliable resource for quality care, ensuring that we grow alongside the needs of residents in our community."
