Dill Dinkers® Announces Its Expansion in New Jersey With New Regional Development Deal
October 09, 2024 // Franchising.com // COLUMBIA, Md. – Dill Dinkers has quickly risen to prominence for its fun, friendly and welcoming environment where players of all ages and skill levels can play, socialize and improve their skills. Today, Dill Dinkers announced its regional development deal with business partners who have committed to developing franchise locations throughout Union, Middlesex and Monmouth Counties in New Jersey.
Leading the expansion is a local family ownership group with deep roots in New Jersey. As natives to Union County, the regional developer team brings a wealth of experience across various industries, including sports and entertainment and business administration. Among the group, one member boasts more than 25 years of management experience in the global equipment supply industry, while another offers 40 years of expertise in commercial and residential fire and security systems. The team also includes an administrative assistant with extensive experience, a real estate agent working in areas throughout New Jersey and a specialist in ticket sales and service. Their combined knowledge of operations, logistics and community relations, paired with their deep connection to the local market, makes them an ideal team to lead the successful development of Dill Dinkers across New Jersey.
“Our team is looking forward to bringing a premier pickleball experience in a family environment with Dill Dinkers,” said Stephen Hafner, a representative from the regional development group. “Our goal is to create a network of premier pickleball clubs across New Jersey, where families and friends can come together in a safe, welcoming environment. We are committed to promoting fun, active lifestyles through pickleball, fostering a sense of community and creating memorable experiences for players of all ages and skill levels.”
Dr. Ben Litalien, Chief Development Officer at Dill Dinkers, expressed enthusiasm for the team’s professional background and dedication. “This team of regional developers brings exceptional leadership skills, business administration experience and interpersonal strengths,” he said.
Since its inception in November 2022 in Columbia, Maryland, Dill Dinkers has been at the forefront of the pickleball phenomenon with its state-of-the-art dedicated indoor pickleball clubs. The company has five company-owned locations in Maryland and Virginia, and since the launch of its nationwide franchise program last September, it has signed developers in Texas, Washington D.C., North Carolina, Connecticut, South Carolina, Arizona, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, Georgia, Florida and Pennsylvania.
"We started Dill Dinkers because of our unwavering passion for the sport and the community it has provided us,” said Co-Founder and CEO Will Richards. “As a former Dominos multi-unit franchisee, it was crucial for us to build a strong network of support ahead of our franchising launch, and now with 22 regional developers on board, we are thrilled to welcome these experienced individuals, who are just as passionate about spreading the joy of pickleball. We look forward to seeing how the team extends our name in New Jersey and how other entrepreneurs can benefit from a premier indoor pickleball offering and a strong network of support.”
Delivering a national quality professional experience, the brand now boasts its national partnership with pros Collin Johns and Martina Kochli, and each club is equipped with a pro pickleball director and offers industry-leading paddles, nets, and other high-quality products through its national brand partnership with JOOLA.
