UFC GYM® and UFC FIT® Launch Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraising Campaign in Support of Knock Out Cancer Foundation
October 10, 2024 // Franchising.com // NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, UFC GYM® is inviting members and the communities around its clubs nationwide to donate in support of the Knock Out Cancer Foundation. From now through Thursday, Oct. 31, donations will be accepted at UFC GYM® and UFC FIT® locations across the country in exchange for pink ribbon pins, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Knock Out Cancer, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing financial support to cancer patients.
The Knock Out Cancer Foundation was founded in 2014 by Giga Chikadze, a Georgian mixed martial artist and the No. 11 ranked UFC featherweight fighter, in memory of his mother Nino Chikadze. As part of its mission, the foundation raises funds to support cancer patients by covering the costs of treatments, medical checkups, lab tests, rehabilitation expenses and more. Since its inception, the foundation has helped more than 200 cancer patients and continues to make an impact, primarily through donations from Chikadze.
“We are proud to stand with Knock Out Cancer in their mission to support those fighting cancer,” said Adam Sedlack, CEO of UFC GYM. “We encourage our members and local communities to join us in contributing to this important cause and making a lasting difference in the lives of those who need it most.”
