Great Clips® Gives Back to Military Service Members On Veterans Day With Free Haircuts

October 30, 2024 // Franchising.com // MINNEAPOLIS,  – As part of its annual Thank a Veteran event, Great Clips® will offer free haircuts to veterans and active military service members on Monday, November 11. Veterans and active military service members can go to any Great Clips salon in the United States and get a free haircut or a card for a free haircut that can be redeemed during a future visit.

This is the 12th consecutive year that Great Clips has offered free haircuts on Veterans Day, providing more than 2.3 million free haircuts valued at $35 million dollars to military service members.

Non-military customers can visit their local Great Clips salon on November 11, get a haircut and receive a free haircut card to give to a veteran or active military service member as a way of saying thank you for their service. These cards can be redeemed for a free haircut through November 29, 2024.

"We're proud to extend our free haircut offer to veterans and active service members for the twelfth consecutive year," said Steve Hockett, CEO of Great Clips, Inc. " It's our way of expressing gratitude to those who protect our country, while enabling customers to also give back to the service members in their lives and community."

In addition to its annual promotion, Great Clips honors service members and veterans through its support of Operation: Healing Heroes Foundation. The organization began as a television series dedicated to sharing the stories of veterans across generations with people throughout the U.S. and Canada. Since its inception in 2015, Operation: Healing Heroes Foundation has treated over 900 veterans to outdoor experiences free of charge. After witnessing the power and healing effects that the outdoor experiences could have on post-traumatic stress, the organization expanded in 2019 to provide financial support to veterans seeking treatment for PTSD.
