A Place At Home Expands With Encinitas Location

Local couple Joscelyn Perez-Van Valzah and Sam Van Valzah recently opened their new location, which serves North County San Deigo, the largest growing senior population in the county.

The transition into senior care was a natural one for Joscelyn and Sam. Joscelyn has spent her entire career as a healthcare administrator, working with vulnerable seniors. In college, Sam was a caregiver for a child with spinal muscle atrophy. He transitioned into a financial planning career post-college, helping families prepare for retirement.

“A passion to help others and improve the quality of life of those in our community drives us,” said Sam. “Having worked as a caregiver and more recently with families to prepare for their retirement, I understand the importance of quality senior care. It's our goal to exceed expectations and deliver top-tier care for seniors.”
