Spavia Day Spa Makes its Kansas Debut
November 27, 2024 // Franchising.com // TOPEKA, Kan. – Spavia Day Spa is soon breaking ground in Topeka, Kansas. A new development deal announced today marks the resort-inspired day spa’s entrance into Kansas, providing the local community an opportunity to access the luxurious, affordable, treatments.
New franchisee Anne McCormick is poised to introduce Spavia’s to the Topeka community as she begins her entrepreneurial journey with the brand. With site selection underway, Spavia is expected to open in Topeka by early 2025.
The announcement comes just weeks after Spavia announced a signed agreement for Greenville, South Carolina—another fresh territory for the brand. McCormick is looking forward to providing Topeka residents with result-driven treatments and amenities.
McCormick’s interest in the spa industry began when she started her wellness journey, which entailed visiting different spas across the world. Through these diverse spa experiences, McCormick recognized the importance of providing communities with accessible environments where they can relax, recenter and renew. She decided to combine her passion for the spa industry and her interest in business ownership. McCormick’s interest in Spavia was strengthened when she looked into Spavia Cares, the brand’s system-wide philanthropic initiative that encourages each location to partner with local non-profits.
The support and treatments the Spavia team provided me with were remarkable, and I knew that I wanted to provide the same welcoming, wellness-focused environment to Topeka. Spavia Cares was an additional factor that encouraged me to begin this journey because I am passionate about giving back to my community and making a positive difference, which are the values that Spavia fosters through this initiative.”
McCormick began her career in financing before entering the accounting sector, where she worked for the federal government for nearly 20 years. While serving as Chief of Accounting, she remained interested in the franchising industry as a potential next step in her career. After moving to Topeka, McCormick quickly noticed the local business opportunities, which re-sparked her strong desire to begin her entrepreneurial journey and enter the franchise industry.
“Anne’s extensive interest in franchising and her dedication to providing wellness opportunities for the Topeka community make her a foundational addition to the Spavia team,” said Marty Langenderfer, CEO and Co-Founder of Spavia. “The Spavia team is looking forward to providing Topeka residents with a personalized, result-driven spa experience. We are also thrilled to be supporting Anne as she begins her entrepreneurial journey with Spavia.”
