Curry Up Now to Bring Reimagined Indian Classics to Flower Mound

April 15, 2025 // Franchising.com // DALLAS — Curry Up Now is expanding with its arrival in Flower Mound next month.

The restaurant will be owned and operated by a woman-led franchise team, with Samy Kilaru and Kiki Khajuria at the helm. This opening marks the duo’s first Curry Up Now location, bringing the brand’s vibrant Indian offerings to the growing Dallas suburb.

“We’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to bring it to our community,” said Samy. “The food speaks for itself — it’s bold, unexpected and fun — but what really drew us in was the energy. Curry Up Now creates an experience that feels celebratory from the moment you walk in.”

Curry Up Now in Flower Mound will serve up the brand’s renowned flavor-forward fare, including craveable favorites like Tikka Masala Burritos, Deconstructed Samosas, Indian Street Foods, Naughty Naan and Sexy Fries. The location will also feature a weekend brunch and a Flower Mound-exclusive item with a Indo-Texan barbecue flair in a nod to local tastes.

“Curry Up Now prides itself on offering a fresh, friendly take on traditional Indian culinary creations,” said Kiki. “Our focus is on creating a space where guests can explore our unique cuisine, whether for the first time or the hundredth. We’re looking forward to immersing ourselves in this community while sharing the food we — and so many other North Texas residents — grew up loving.”

Founded by husband-and-wife team Akash and Rana Kapoor in 2009, Curry Up Now started as a food truck in the Bay Area and experienced an increased demand for its fresh, bold ingredients and menu items. With options that include burritos, bowls, Indian street food, thali platters and more, Corporate Executive Chef Bikram Das and Curry Up Now’s culinary team have crafted a one-of-a-kind menu that presents authentic Indian cuisine in a friendly, recognizable format. The menu also caters to halal, keto, paleo, vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free diets, using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.

“We’re excited to bring Curry Up Now to Flower Mound,” said Akash Kapoor, founder and CEO of Curry Up Now. “This community has great energy and a strong appreciation for food with character — the perfect match for what we do. We can’t wait to welcome guests in and show them what Indian food can be when it’s reimagined with heart, hustle and a little bit of rebellion.”
