Multi-Office Female-Owned and Led Firm Helps Expand the Century 21 Brand in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area

May 22, 2025 // Franchising.com // COVINGTON, Ga. – Century 21 Real Estate LLC is fortifying its brand’s presence in the Peach State with the affiliation of female-owned and led Realty 1 Georgia.

The multi-office brokerage was established in February of 2020 by current broker/owner Angela Whitmire. Whitmire’s professional path in real estate began at just 18 years old and has taken her from the mortgage sector and loan origination, to property management, and eventually to real estate sales and business ownership. In that time, Whitmire has navigated some of the most challenging periods of the real estate industry, including the 2008 market crash, during which she pivoted to an event management business before rejoining the industry in 2013. After reentry into real estate, her success in the field eventually allowed her to found her own firm, which she did only one month before the start of the global pandemic. Her ability to not only navigate difficult circumstances but also instill confidence in clients and build meaningful relationships has allowed her to earn the position of President-Elect of the East Metro Board of REALTORS®.

Since founding her company Whitmire and her independent sales professionals have become known for their ability to assist residents across East Metro Atlanta and Central Georgia with residential and commercial properties.

Now doing business as CENTURY 21 Realty 1 Professionals, Whitmire and her independent sales professionals will have access to the CENTURY 21® brand’s technology and marketing, lead generation, and agent learning and coaching. Whitmire hopes to bolster agent productivity for both existing and new agents across both of her offices, as well as recruit nearby talent and new agents alike who will continue to uphold the firm’s standards.

“The CENTURY 21® brand offers a unique balance of support and independence,” said Whitmire. “The network provides a strong sense of belonging while empowering agents to remain independent and entrepreneurial. CENTURY 21® system gives agents the tools and resources to help them succeed without compromising their individuality.”

CENTURY 21 Realty 1 Professionals focuses on the importance of individuality. When it comes to clients, they aren’t customers – they are collaborators. When it comes to agents, they aren’t salespeople – they’re family members. Every transaction with CENTURY 21 Realty 1 Professionals is designed to foster long-term relationships grounded in transparency, reliability, and genuine care. The firm stays in touch long after the closing papers are signed, and with many of the firm’s agents being local residents, they strive to always be involved, available resources for their community.

The CENTURY 21 Realty 1 Professionals Covington office is located roughly 40 minutes outside of downtown Atlanta, while the Milledgeville office is just under two hours away. Covington is affectionately known as the “Hollywood of the South,” serving as the backdrop for numerous iconic movies and television shows, attracting tourists from near and far. Residents also have plenty of higher-level education opportunities located nearby, as well as plenty of employment opportunities in Atlanta proper. Milledgeville is known for its deep southern history, at one point serving as the state capital of Georgia. Another standout feature of the Milledgeville area is its lake lifestyle. With Lake Sinclair and Lake Oconee located just outside the city, the area offers year-round recreation and major lifestyle and investment property draws.

“It’s always huge for the CENTURY 21 brand to expand its presence in America’s largest metros, especially when we can do it with someone as professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate as Angela,” said Mike Miedler, president and CEO of Century 21 Real Estate LLC. “We’re excited to give Angela the tools she needs to grow, while still letting her serve the Peach State the way she knows best.”
