About Romeo's Pizza
Romeo’s Pizza was founded in 2001 and has grown rapidly and now has 30 locations in Cleveland, Akron/Canton, and Columbus markets. Romeo’s Pizza has a diverse menu consisting of award-winning pizzas, pasta, subs, calzones, strombolis, salads, wings and appetizers. Romeo’s Pizza has won many awards including Best Pizza in the Midwest 3 times and Best Gourmet Pizza in America. In 2010, they were named as one of the Top 100 Pizza Companies in America by Pizza Today Magazine.
In 2002, Romeo's Pizza was named the "Best Pizza in the Midwest" and represented the entire United States of America at the World Pizza Championship in Italy. The pizza that won is called The Butcher Shop, which has pepperoni, sausage, meatballs, ham, and bacon. This was quite an honor, however, Romeo's Pizza wasn't finished winning awards.
The year 2004 marked an incredible year for Romeo's Pizza. In February, Romeo's competed once again for the "Best Pizza in the Midwest" and won for the second time in three years. No other pizza shop has won this award more than once, so for them to win it again was an incredible feat. In October 2004, Romeo's Pizza competed in an invitation only competition held in New York City called America's Plate. Romeo's won first place with the "Best Gourmet Pizza in America". This pizza is called the Great Ranch and Potato pizza featuring Romeo's homemade ranch bacon sauce, provolone cheese, spicy crumbled sausage, caramelized onions, roasted red potatoes topped off with ranch flavored almond slivers.
In March 2005, Romeo's Pizza is in the limelight again. Romeo's was one of only five pizzerias in the entire country to be invited and compete in the Food Network $10,000 Pizza Challenge. They once again brought home an award by winning the bronze medal. They also Won "Best Pizza in Cleveland" From Scene Magazine this year. They opened their second company location in Westlake, Ohio and their first franchised location in Lima, Ohio.
The year 2006 was Romeo's Pizza's biggest year ever. They won "Best Pizza in North America" at the World Pizza Championship in Italy. Their first franchised location in Lima also won "Best Pizza in Lima 2006" after only six months in operation. They doubled the size of their company by opening 4 more stores in 2006. Two of these are company stores in Avon and Berea, Ohio. The other two are franchised locations in Parma and Twinsburg, Ohio. WOW that brings them to 7 stores in their second year of growth!
2007 was huge! They opened their 8th Store in Brookpark, their 9th Store in Elyria & their 10th store in Brunswick Ohio! They were voted "Best Pizza in Cleveland" on the Fox 8 HOTLIST!
In 2008, Romeo’s Pizza had unprecedented growth! They opened stores in the Columbus market and tripled their size.
In 2009, They competed in the Slice of Columbus, along with 20 other pizzerias and won Best Pizza – People’s Choice.
In 2010, Romeo’s Pizza was named one of the Top 100 Pizza Companies in America by Pizza Today Magazine. In addition, they competed again at the Slice of Columbus and won Best Pizza – People’s Choice.
Sean Brauser was the Keynote Speaker at the International Pizza Expo held in Las Vegas in March 2011. They won the Slice of Columbus again for the third year in a row! The year ended with Sean Brauser receiving the the 2011 Business Growth Award from the Medina County Economic Development Corporation.
In 2012, Romeo's Pizza welcomed another store in Columbus and currently has 30 locations. Romeo’s Pizza won the Slice of Columbus for the 4th Year in a Row!
In 2013, Romeo's Pizza was named the Best Pizza in the Midwest
