Harris Family Opens 3rd Smokey Mo's BBQ Location

Multi-unit franchisees Kim and Roger Harris have expanded their Smokey Mo's BBQ footprint with the opening of a third location. This one is in Schertz, Texas, and it continues the family's partnership with the brand that began in 2007.

The new restaurant, located at 18430 IH-35 North, Suite 600, is co-owned with Nathan and Ashlea Page, who have partnered with the Harrises on their San Antonio and New Braunfels locations since 2015. A grand opening celebration is scheduled for June 13.

"When we first joined Smokey Mo's, it was because the brand believed in the same things we did: great food, treating guests the right way, and building real relationships in the community," Kim Harris said. "Nearly 20 years later, those values are still at the core of the business."

The Schertz opening builds on the operators' longstanding ties to the area. The Harrises live nearby in Cibolo and are active in the Schertz-Cibolo Chamber of Commerce, making the new restaurant a natural next step in their regional growth strategy.

"Kim and Roger have been an important part of Smokey Mo's for nearly two decades, and seeing them continue to grow with the brand is incredibly meaningful," said Craig Haley, CEO of Smokey Mo's BBQ. "They've built their restaurants the right way, earned trust in their communities, and represent exactly the kind of operators we're proud to grow with."

The Schertz restaurant serves the brand's lineup of slow-smoked barbecue, including brisket, turkey, pulled pork, sausage, and chicken, along with breakfast items, sides, desserts, and catering services.
