Baskin-Robbins Opens in Casablanca, Its First Restaurant in Morocco
Baskin-Robbins has opened its first-ever restaurant in Morocco, in Casablanca City. Galadari Ice Cream Company, one of the brand’s largest franchisees, will own and operate the new restaurant, adding to their portfolio of nearly 1,000 Baskin-Robbins locations around the world.
“More than ever before, people are craving the joy and comfort of ice cream,” said Ahmed Osman, CEO of Galadari’s Food and Beverage Division. “With extensive experience operating across the region, we feel confident Baskin-Robbins’ unique flavors and fun atmosphere, coupled with our strong operations experience and customer-first, customer-centric focus, will resonate with local guests as we continue to open new locations around the country.”
Located in the Morocco Mall, Baskin-Robbins’ newest location debuted with a ribbon-cutting event on August 24, with doors officially opening to the public shortly afterward. The first 100 guests in line received free ice cream for a year.
“While we aggressively expand throughout the markets where we currently operate, we are also taking Baskin-Robbins to new countries as part of our division’s growth strategy,” said Osman.
“We are thrilled to support the Galadari Ice Cream Company as they officially introduce Baskin-Robbins to the Moroccan market,” said Michael Haley, President and Managing Director of International for Inspire Brands, parent of Baskin-Robbins. “Throughout our four decades of working together, Galadari has truly brought that unique brand experience to life across the Middle East, Australia, and now Africa.”
