Ben & Jerry's Operator Expands By Opening Mooyah Burgers Location
Tareq Qarman has built a successful business operating 6 Ben & Jerry's locations in Orlando. Last week he opened his first Mooyah Burgers, Fries & Shakes location. Not only is it the largest Mooyah Burgers location, with a whopping 4,100 square feet, it's also located in the very same plaza where Qarman opened his first Ben & Jerry's location a decade ago.
Qarman and his parents moved from Palestine to Orlando in 1993. After high school, he spent 16 years with Golden Corral where he learned the ins and outs of the restaurant business before setting out on his own. He opened his first Ben & Jerry's locations in 2010 and today operates 6 locations for the brand.
Three years ago Qarman decided he wanted to add another brand. "I first discovered Mooyah on Instagram. When I got a chance to taste the brand's 'better burgers,' I thought it was amazing,' he said. "I loved the customizable concept, and as an ice cream guy, I was really impressed with the milkshakes. They use real ice cream, not just sugar and milk. They care about creating a quality product. That's what sold me."
Qarman's new Mooyah Burgers restaurant features the brand's new design, and includes dining room seating zones created to accommodate community dining, dedicated third-party delivery and pickup shelving, and digital menu
