Franchise History

Butter Pecan Bakeshop was created during the pandemic. Our founder, Wendell Hunter, was in quarantine with his wife and kids, feeling isolated, when he realized he wouldn’t be able to come home to be with family for the holidays. Reminiscing about more normal times, he remembered how his grandmother used to make him and all the other grandkids her famous “nut cake”. Feeling nostalgic, Wendell took his Grandma’s “nut cake” and turned it into our Brown Butter Pecan Cookie, and the rest was history.
