Code Ninjas, founded in 2016, is a kids coding franchise. Code Ninjas teaches kids ages 7-14 how to code in a fun, welcoming, and non-intimidating atmosphere using a game-based curriculum.

Franchise History

Code Ninjas was founded in 2016 by David Graham, who spent 20 years as a software developer and entrepreneur. After seeing the high success rates and job placements of students in his adult coding camps, Graham created a fun place for kids to learn the same skills. With nine out of 10 parents wanting their kids to learn how to code, the timing was right for Code Ninjas. Kids ages 7-14 come to Code Ninjas centers and learn to code in a fun, non-intimidating way - by playing and building video games they love. The game-based curriculum and welcoming environment allows for kids to have fun, while parents see tangible results. Through a variety of Code Ninjas offerings, such as after-school programs, camps, and parents-night-out events, the ninjas (students) work with their sensei’s (teachers) to improve their coding knowledge and work through the programs, earning higher belt levels of achievement as they progress.
