The "Skinny" on Round Table's New Crust With 30% Less Carbs
Concord, CA (July 12, 2004)-
Round Table Pizza has announced it is rolling out the new Skinny Crust, a delicious pizza crust that lets Round Table fans lower their carbs, not their flavor expectations. The new Skinny Crust has 30% less carbs than our Original crust, but tastes great because it is made from our same world famous dough. It is simply rolled thinner for a lighter, crispier crust with the same great Round Table flavor. In addition, the Skinny Crust is available with any toppings and comes in all sizes except extra large. Round Table Pizza is the first major pizza chain to offer a reduced carb pizza crust without reducing the amount or choice of toppings or altering the crust recipe itself.
Since Round Table Pizza is known for its variety of toppings, delicious world famous crust, and high quality standards, we knew creating a reduced carb option without any trade-offs was mandatory. We also wanted to make a product that appealed to all our customers, not just those watching their carbs. The Skinny Crust is a crust for anyone who likes an extra thin style, crispy pizza where the flavors of the sauce, cheese and toppings come through even more.
The Skinny Crust is now available for a limited time at participating Round Table Pizza locations. The Skinny Crust will be launched on July 12th with an integrated marketing campaign including television, radio, and point-of-purchase materials created by Siltanen & Partners Advertising, Marina Del Rey, CA. The launch creative breaks new ground by lampooning how other reduced carb solutions have made consumers sacrifice by offering bun-less burgers, and burrito-like sandwiches. With Round Table's new Skinny Crust there is no sacrifice in form or flavor.
