A Sample of Success

Bradenton, Fla. June, 2007 - The Signs Now location in Bradenton, Fla., shows how to sell your work through effective and appropriate samples, and make a splash in your area.

What better way to promote your new location, and your business in general, than graphically illustrating what you do best? The Signs Now location in Bradenton, Fla., decided that the best way to do so was with a re-vamp of its showroom, from the inside out.

The Signs Now store opened at a new location in April. Right off the bat, Signs Now designed, printed, and applied a giant set of brand-building images all along the outside of the new location.

The graphics effectively informed, and continue to inform everyone within eyeshot about the new location, and illustrate the capabilities of Signs Now. The project also lets customers and potential customers see how effective and eye-catching this type of advertising can be in real-world, touchable applications.

The revamped showroom at the new location hits customers and potential customers right away with floor decals and a myriad of applications.

General Manager Richard Paul found the perfect product for the window application from LexJet. He used FLEXcon's FLEXmark® V 400 F White V-327 Low Tack Vinyl, and applied them to the outside of their new location. They leave the lights on at night to create a stunning backlit effect.

Paul reports great success and increased interest in his location, thanks to the creative combination of an effective design, great colors, and the right material.

The store's opening was followed by a Grand Opening party in June. To prepare for the Grand Opening party, and the subsequent open houses planned on a quarterly basis, Paul says it was important to portray as many applications as possible with as many different possibilities for each application illustrated.

"We're showing multiple solutions to the same problem, with different price ranges. Basically, we want to show customers that we can provide a solution to any combination of variables they encounter," says Paul. "So, our showroom sample applications show the same type of graphic, but geared toward different budgets, durability issues, and application environments."

They also showcased odd applications, like a refrigerator wrap using FLEXcon's BUSart™ V 400 F White A-69 Vinyl, floor decals with FLEXmark® V 400 F White Opaque A-109 Vinyl for Indoor Floor Surfaces, and a pegboard application printed on their ColorSpan DisplayMaker 72UVR UV-curable printer.

"When we first came up with the showroom concept, we were trying to get the same or a similar design on different products so that it didn't look like a hodge-podge. The branding should be consistent and repetitive. It allows us to show that we're involved in all these products and can create consistent results," says Paul. "If someone walks in and is interested in a graphics package, they want something that relates to their store across the board, so samples that can communicate the ability to do so are most effective."

Moreover, explains Paul, the Signs Now team wanted to showcase odd applications, such as the refrigerator wrap and pegboard, so that people will look twice and begin to think creatively about other non-traditional applications.
