Einstein Bros. Launches $3.99 Snack-Out Menu in Salt Lake City Market

Snack-Out Test Designed to Increase Afternoon Day Part Sales

LAKEWOOD, Colo., April 30 // PRNewswire-FirstCall // -- Salt Lake City guests craving an afternoon snack will soon be able find a tasty selection of new menu items made with fresh ingredients at their local Einstein Bros.(R) Bagels restaurant. Einstein Noah Restaurant Group (Nasdaq: BAGL), the parent company of Einstein Bros., will launch its Snack-Out menu test in the market at 2 p.m. today.

The Salt Lake City restaurants, home to 18 Einstein Bros. locations from Provo to Logan, will offer three great new snack product lines for $3.99 -- including a beverage -- specifically to fulfill the cravings that a growing number of guests have after 2 p.m. These new products are a fresh, delicious and inexpensive alternative for a mid-afternoon snack.

"In all of the studies we have conducted, we've seen a growing trend of guests, specifically teenagers and moms, looking for a tasty selection of food in that snack period from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.," said Jim Hood, chief marketing officer for Einstein Noah Restaurant Group. "This test is designed to give guests a higher quality option during that time period and I believe they won't pass up the opportunity to get one of our great snacks while they can."

Between 2 p.m. and close, guests will be able to choose from miniature Bagel Burgers, three varieties of Tornado Wraps and a Chicken Quesadilla.

-- Bagel Burgers: These delicious treats are miniature Asiago Bagels
with certified Angus, all-beef burgers, cheddar cheese and the guest's
choice of Garlic, Pesto or Roasted Tomato Spread.
-- Tornado Wraps: Guests can select from three varieties of wraps based
on their personal preferences. The three options are:
-- Turkey Caesar. A whole wheat tortilla filled with our delectable
sliced turkey, Caesar dressing, mixed greens and tomatoes, and our
special Garlic Herb cream cheese.
-- Ancho Chicken. As the name implies, a whole wheat tortilla is also
filled with diced chicken breast, ancho mayo, Jalapeno Salsa cream
cheese, red onion, mixed greens and tomatoes.
-- Mediterranean Vegetable. A whole wheat tortilla filled with a
garden fresh selection of vegetarian-friendly ingredients: Red
onion, cucumber, red pepper, mixed greens and tomatoes, plus
hummus and our Garden Veggie cream cheese.
-- Chicken Quesadilla: Made with the whole wheat tortilla, this
delicious option is filled with diced chicken breast, a blend of
three cheeses, green chilies and our spicy Jalapeno Salsa cream
cheese.

In addition to these delicious new creations, Einstein Bros. is including its popular pizza bagels and bagel dogs as part of the afternoon snack menu. These guest favorites will be at the a la carte menu prices -- from $3.69 to $4.19 for pizza bagels and $4.49 for bagel dogs. But they will include a free fountain beverage.

"I'm confident this new craveable selection of offerings made with high quality ingredients will entice all potential guests craving a snack after 2 p.m.," Mr. Hood said. "I invite everyone in the Salt Lake City Market to stop in to one of our restaurants to snack out between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m."
