Rainbow Station recognized for excellence in human resources

May 15, 2008 // Franchising.com // (Richmond, VA.) For the second year in a row, Rainbow Station, a provider of early education programs, has received the Employee All Star Award for its achievements in workforce development.

The Workforce Development category recognizes employers whose workforce practices have generated significant results, benefits, and solutions to the professional and technical development of its employees, or for individuals pursuing job training/retraining for either future employment or transitioning into anticipated skills needs with their current employer.

The Annual Employee All Star Awards are an initiative of the Richmond Human Resources Management Association and the Greater Richmond Chamber's workforce development initiative, which building a quality workforce in Greater Richmond. The program honors achievements of both public and private sector organizations in workforce development.

Rainbow Station's early education programs include preschool, nursery school, private kindergarten and The Village, an after-school recreation and summer camp program. The Get Well Place at Rainbow Station provides onsite care for children who are mildly ill when their parents must work, and is staffed by a full-time registered nurse. There are six corporate Rainbow Station schools in Richmond, VA, and franchise locations in Virginia, North Carolina and Texas. All corporate and franchise schools are accredited, or seeking accreditation, by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the National Afterschool Association and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
