Fazoli's All New Menu Offers Casual Dining Quality at Fast Food Prices

June 17, 2009 // Franchising.com // Lexington, Ky. – Fazoli's, America's number one quick service Italian chain, is taking on burger joints and more expensive casual restaurants with an all new menu that will impress foodies and spend-thrifts alike. It is being introduced nationwide at all 260 Fazoli's locations.

Have a taste for pasta? Try Fazoli's new Tortellini & Sun-Dried Tomato Rustico, made fresh with sun-dried tomato sauce, artichoke hearts and sun-dried tomatoes, topped with a basil pesto drizzle. Or, dig into Chicken Piccata – linguini with creamy marinara, sliced grilled chicken, capers, broccoli and a lemon wedge. Fazoli's new entrées start at just $5.49, and as always, dine-in orders come with unlimited breadsticks.

Thinking sandwich or salad? Fazoli's new Fire-Roasted Red Pepper Chicken Submarinos® will excite your taste buds with grilled chicken, onions, peppers, Provolone cheese and roasted red pepper spread. The new Cranberry & Walnut Chicken Salad, featuring mixed greens, sliced grilled chicken, dried cranberries, glazed walnuts and Gorgonzola cheese with a red wine vinaigrette, is perfect for warm spring and summer days, especially at just $5.49. And leave room for dessert, like indulgent new Chocolate Chip Cannolis or Choco-Lato Mousse.

Fazoli's is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. According to president and CEO Carl Howard, this is the most extensive change to the restaurant's menu in its history. "We have introduced more than 35 new items and dramatically improved the flavor and quality of our ingredients and sauces," he said. "Fazoli's oven-baked entrées and sandwiches are now made to order. Our goal is to serve premium Italian food at an unbeatable value."

Fazoli's new Tortellini & Sun-Dried Tomato Rustico tempts tastes buds without busting budgets. It is one of 35 tasty new oven-baked entrees, sandwiches, salads and desserts Fazoli's recently introduced.

Fazoli's began revamping its menu earlier this year. "The response to the new items has been remarkable," said Monte Jump, vice president of Marketing. "Guests today want great tasting food at a great price, and Fazoli's is clearly delivering that."
