RetroFitness Ramps up Atlanta Growth

National fitness brand to host franchise discovery day and open house at new Smyrna location

September 14, 2010 // Franchising.com // ATLANTA, GA - Breaking into the Atlanta-metro market in late-August with the opening of its first location in Smyrna, Georgia, RetroFitness, a well-known national fitness brand targeting growth in Atlanta, today announced it will host a Discovery Day and Open House at its newest club at 2400 Cobb Parkway.

On Tuesday, September 21, 2010 from noon to 8 p.m., RetroFitness executives will give prospective franchise investors insight into the RetroFitness franchise operation. Plus, discussion will include market availability in Atlanta for new RetroFitness gyms, and the various steps in the process to becoming a RetroFitness franchisee. Food and beverage will be provided.

"Atlanta is a hot market for the growth of the RetroFitness brand and we are looking for experienced individuals who fit our franchisee mold and have a clear understanding of what it's like to offer a first-rate fitness experience at an incredible value," said Eric Casaburi, founder and CEO of RetroFitness, who also opened his first gym at the age of 22. "The RetroFitness franchise model is attracting high quality, single and multi-unit investors who have a strong business acumen. We look forward to meeting many more from Atlanta."

Less than five years since it began franchising, RetroFitness has more than 100 new clubs in its development pipeline, more than 200,000 members, and 60-plus clubs operating. The company projects 300 gyms in the next three years. Additionally, RetroFitness' revenues surpass the national fitness club average by more than 120 percent.

Offering entrepreneurs the opportunity to open in flexible 10,000 to 16,000 square-foot spaces in key U.S. markets where prime real estate is more affordable than ever before, RetroFitness is "fit" for investors in the current economy. Plus, buzz around the brand is reaching a feverish pitch, and several industry icons have taken notice. RetroFitness recently completed a major deal to be a retailer of Under Armour performance apparel, a clear indication of RetroFitness' ability to partner with top class fitness brands.

Complete with initial and ongoing training and marketing support, ownership in a RetroFitness franchise includes a full suite of support services ranging from access to strategic leasing and financing partners to pinpoint site selection support. The company provides its thorough market analysis with its powerful demographic software programs and real estate network, and its architectural partner assists in all aspects of the design work, leaving the entrepreneur to focus on what is most important--the business.

To register for The RetroFitness Discovery Day and Open House event, please call Mark Mele, Vice President of Franchise Sales, at 732-431-0062 Ext. 12 to reserve a spot on Tuesday, September 21.
