Roy Rogers Restaurants(R) Invites Frederick Residents To Experience The Fountain Of The Future

Roy Rogers Route 40 Location Has Introduced Coca-Cola Freestyle®, New Touch Screen Fountain Dispenser

May 04, 2011 // Franchising.com // FREDERICK – Long-time Coca-Cola Company customer Roy Rogers Restaurants® is the first to offer the Coca-Cola Company's new proprietary fountain dispenser in Frederick. The Route 40 location, which celebrated its 30-year anniversary last August, installed the Coca-Cola Freestyle ® on April 26th. An additional unit also debuted in Roy Rogers® newest location in Manassas, VA when it opened last month.

"In order to give our guests an opportunity to experience this new state-ofthe- art machine, we will be hosting happy hours on Mondays and Tuesdays from 2:00 – 5:00 PM, during the month of May beginning May 9th. Guests can come in a get a FREE small Coca-Cola beverage of their choice with ANY purchase during these happy hour events. We are extremely proud to be the first Coca- Cola beverage partner to offer this technology in the Frederick area," said Gwyn Geiman, Director of Marketing, Roy Rogers Restaurants.

The sleek, stylish new fountains are touch screen operated, enabling guests to select from over 100 regular and low-calorie beverage brands – including many varieties of waters, fruit-flavored beverages and sparkling beverages that, prior to the arrival of Coca-Cola Freestyle, were not available in the U.S. The self-serve fountains – which represent a complete departure from anything The Coca-Cola Company has offered previously – were in development for more than four years prior to launching in 2010.

2009 Beta testing of the fountains included more than 50 restaurants in Georgia and Southern California. Results from these tests indicate a significant increase in total restaurant sales – including fountain servings – as well as a measurable lift in traffic.

The Coca-Cola Freestyle dispenser uses unique, proprietary PurePour Technology™ and has the capacity to dispense 106 beverage varieties in the same amount of space as a standard eight-valve machine.
