Fazoli’s Holds Special Election and Offers Voter Incentives

LEXINGTON, KY, October 31, 2011 — Yard signs are up, campaign ads are running, and soon voters will be headed to the polls. In addition to the state and local issues on the ballots, Fazoli’s is asking parents to take to the Internet, and vote on who are the pickiest eaters: boys or girls. Parents can cast their votes on this hotly contested issue by visiting the Questions tab at facebook.com/fazolis, with election results posted on November 9.

Fazoli’s has an offer for those making their way to local voting precincts as well. Stop by any participating Fazoli’s restaurant on Election Day for lunch wearing an I Voted Today sticker, and you can purchase any 400 Calorie Entrée for just $1.99. This offer is good on Tuesday, November 8 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. These low calorie entrées are part of a whole new line-up of menu items being introduced by Fazoli’s this month. Other new items at participating locations include Flatbread Piadas and Pizzas, Fresh Chopped Salads, Stuffed Pizza Sticks, Toasted Ravioli, and two new sampler entrées. During the month of November participating Fazoli’s restaurants will allow guests to sample the new items.

Cathy Hull, Fazoli’s Chief Marketing Officer, is excited about Fazoli’s expanded menu offerings. “Our culinary team has combined freshness with flavor to create dishes that are lighter yet satisfying,” said Hull. “Our guests will find exciting new options for lunch and dinner. And we have also added a new side and drink option to our Kids Meals that will please even the pickiest of eaters, regardless of how the voting turns out in our national election poll.”
