Regis in Discussions to Nominate New Independent Director for Election at the 2012 Annual Meeting of Shareholders

MINNEAPOLIS - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Regis Corporation (NYSE:RGS) (“Regis”), the global leader in the $160 billion hair care industry, today announced that it is in discussions with Daniel Beltzman, Managing Member of Birch Run Capital, LLC (“Birch Run”), regarding the potential for Mr. Beltzman to be included on the Company’s ballot for election to the Regis Board of Directors at the 2012 Annual Meeting of Shareholders. Birch Run and its affiliates own approximately 10.4% of the outstanding shares of Regis.
