Stratus Building Solutions Sponsors USO Materials Drive

Drop-off locations at local businesses and festivals to benefit deployed military.

Roseville, CA (PRWEB) September 10, 2012 - The men and women of the United States Military are a source of hope, honor, and integrity to the people of the United States of America. As Americans, local communities owe a debt of gratitude to these men and women for the sacrifices they and their families endure to ensure continued freedom.

With this in mind, the men and women of Stratus Building Solutions of Northern California are proud to partner with the bay area branch of the USO to support not only these proud warriors, but the families who sacrifice their time as well to support them.

In these harsh economic times, no individual can be completely protected. While members of the Armed Forces are fighting battles on the front lines, many times they and their families also struggle with burdens at home, both emotionally and financially. When a family member deploys, there are then two budgets that need to be drawn. Those who leave no family behind often still have bills at home to take care of.

Stratus and the USO are organizing a drive to assist deployed members by coordinating the donation and delivery of basic essentials, such as bedding and toiletries, among other items, to offset the cost of these expenses. No service member should have to add the burden of worrying about finding these items, to the stress of separation from family and the un-avoidable stress of serving their country. Stratus is also proud to employ and assist veterans in operating their own green cleaning franchises.

To the men and women of the United States Military, and their families; Stratus Building Solutions of Northern California is humbled by the enormous dedication and honor that has been willingly taken on, and the untold freedoms sacrificed to ensure they remain for your countrymen; the freedom to live, to be with family and countless others.

There will be a USO Booth available to take donations at Rocklin Patriot Days on Sunday, September 9, 2012, at the Blue Oaks Town Center of Rocklin from 10:00-4:00 p.m. Receipts will be available for tax deduction purposes.

There will be a USO Booth at the Harvest Festival and Business Fair on October 14, 2012, from 12:00-4:00 p.m. Donations will gladly be accepted and receipts given.

There is a drop off Location at Stratus Building Solutions of Northern California, located at 1075 Creekside Ridge Drive, Suite 260 in Roseville, California. Receipts will be available.

Donations requested are as follows:

Twin size sheets

Twin size blankets

Pillows

Hand wipes

Sanitizing wipes

Snacks- nuts, trail mixes, beef jerky, granola bars, pop tarts, candy, fruit snacks, cereal, Kraft Easy Mac, crackers, peanut butter crackers etc, tuna/chicken foil packs/pop tab cans, slim jims, protein bars, peanut butter to go containers, Nutella to go containers

Personal items: Baby wipes, hand sanitizer, sunscreen, lip balm, dental floss, toilet paper, eye drops, liquid body soap, eye drops, shaving cream, razor blades, disposable razors, q-tips, foot/baby powder, hand/foot warmers, icy hot patches, batteries (preferably AA), toothpaste, shampoo, toothbrushes

Clothing: BLACK or WHITE COTTON long athletic socks, Dark colored knit hats/beanies
Specialty items: Ground Coffee (Peets and Starbucks are popular), zip lock brand bags (all sizes)

The biggest request right now is twin bedding and hygiene products.

Stratus is unable to send glass containers, so plastic and metal only please! Stratus can not send perishable foods, fireworks, firearms, aerosol cans, or pornographic materials.
