Nation’s Largest Barbecue Chain Looks for Biggest Fans and Offers Game Week Specials

DALLAS - Jan. 22, 2013 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Down. Set. Eat. Dickey’s Barbecue is ready to tackle game day catering with Tailgate Packs and social media contests that will get everyone in the game. Kicking off Tuesday, January 22 and running through Thursday, January 31, the barbecue brand known for fast casual pit smoked barbecue is asking customers to go head–to-head on Facebook and Twitter in the “Are You Dickey’s Biggest Fan?” contest. The Facebook contest winner receives a $500 gift card to cater their big game day party.

“It doesn’t matter which team you’re rooting for because game day is all about enjoying good friends and great tasting food,” said Roland Dickey, Jr., President and CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “At Dickey’s, we take the work out of planning a party with our Tailgate Packs that allow customers to take home authentic pit smoked meats and home style sides for their big game day gatherings.”

“Are You Dickey’s Biggest Fan?” contest on Facebook asks fans to submit photos wearing their favorite team jersey while holding a Dickey’s Big Yellow Cup. The winner will celebrate with a $500 gift card to use at any Dickey’s Barbecue location. The Twitter contest asks fans to list in 140 characters or less why they are Dickey’s biggest fan including the hashtag #teamdickeys in their entries. The best entry wins a $50 gift card to Dickey’s.

Dickey’s Barbecue Tailgate Pack includes 3 smoked meats (1 pound each), 3 medium home style sides, buttery rolls and signature barbecue sauce. Customers can pre-order for game day by calling Dickey’s Catering Hotline 1-866-BARBECUE or contact your local store.
