Max & Erma's Serves Up Support for Area Boys & Girls Clubs

March 29, 2013 // Franchising.com // Columbus, OH - Max & Erma's Restaurants and Boys & Girls Clubs of America are teaming up for the Maximize Their Future campaign at participating restaurants beginning April 1 to May 5. The campaign is expected to raise $40,000 for Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Max & Erma's will direct $1 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America each time one of their two exclusive new entrees are sold; additionally, stores will sell "Great Food. Great Cause", bracelets for $5 each and allow guests the option of adding a donation to their checks.

The exclusive new entrees, named by Boys & Girls Club members, are the The Cheesy Cheesy 1-2-3 and Sassy Classy Chicken. The Cheesy Cheesy 1-2-3 features thick-cut Texas toast filled with sliced tomatoes, melted mozzarella and feta cheese with a tomato-basil spread. Served with a side of Max and Erma's creamy tomato basil soup. The Sassy Classy Chicken is Max & Erma's version of chicken Caprese with grilled marinated chicken breasts topped with melted mozzarella and homemade roasted tomato salsa, served with grilled asparagus and herb rice.

"We are thrilled about the Maximize Their Future partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America," said Steve Weis, President of Max & Erma's. "Our goal is to raise $40,000 to support the tremendous programming offered through the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

According to Weis, the campaign began in January with a coloring contest among Boys & Girls Club members to determine the artwork for the promotional materials. Three winners will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship for their artwork that will also be featured on the tables at participating restaurants.
