Maui Wowi Spurs Growth In Texas, Signs Contract With AT&T Center

Maui Wowi Hawaiian Coffees & Smoothies becomes a vendor at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas; sparking more opportunities to enjoy a taste of paradise.

Greenwood Village, Colo. (PRWEB) April 03, 2013 - A Maui Wowi Franchisee is headed to the AT&T Center, bringing fresh fruit smoothies and Hawaiian coffee to the popular venue where the San Antonio Spurs play. Miles Erwin, owner of the local Texas franchise, has signed a contract with Aramark and the Spurs Sports Entertainment Group allowing him to operate his mobile tiki hut themed cart at all events held at the venue.

“Having the opportunity to work the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo allowed us to begin a great relationship with Aramark that we hope to continue by working events in the arena,” said Erwin.

Erwin recently spent 18 days at the AT&T Center, working the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo which led to the venue contract; proving to Aramark that Maui Wowi was made for an arena like this. Following in the footsteps of another Texas Maui Wowi franchisee, Erwin has taken lessons from Rob and Jean McLean in Houston who have built a wildly successful Maui Wowi business at Reliant Stadium where they also work the Houston Rodeo and other high volume events.

“Our goal was to work hard at the Rodeo and show that we have a great product and are professional; we did a good job apparently because a week after the event ended, we got approved,” said Erwin.

The Maui Wowi cart will be located near a busy bar area inside the venue. Erwin is hoping to capture some of the adult beverage seekers by providing alcoholic smoothies, in addition to their healthy, kid friendly varieties and fresh brewed Hawaiian coffees.

The Texas market has been buzzing with opportunity over the last year as another Maui Wowi franchisee from Wimberley has established a strong partnership with the Circuit of the America’s venue in Austin, home to Formula 1 Racing and a whole array of other events. This, along with Erwin’s new contract at AT&T, continues to build Maui Wowi’s brand presence in the Lone Star State.
